Steven Miller's Deep Sky Imaging with a Synscan Goto Dob - Uncoated paper (US & CA) (Printed Version)

This is primarily intended for people that already own a Synscan Synta based Motorized Alt/Az Goto Dob, like those offered by Sky-Watcher and Orion, and want to dabble in deep sky astrophotography. 

If this is you, then you are an innovator! 

Why?... Because you are doing the impossible, what people thought couldn’t be done, or at least done well. 

But it can, and if you learn to image deep sky targets with your Dob, you are one of the few leading the way in showing the world that, yes, a Goto Dob can be a pretty darn good imaging rig. 

And here’s a little secret: I really don’t think it’s all that hard.

Although this document is intended for those Goto Dobs, some of the advice on general Alt/Az astrophotography applies to other Alt/Az computerized scopes such as Goto SCTs and possibly some of the more entry level Alt/Az Goto Scopes from Celestron, Sky-Watcher, and Orion as I believe they all use controllers from Synta.
